Question Should I be hitting booost CUT?

alright, i have a 1987 T2, been here for awhile, but never ever worried about boost cut, I have right now FULL TB MOD,Gutted Cats, and BOV (no emmisions). that's about it, everytime i boost, i get a cut back, hesitation like, backfires, etc..how does fuel cut feel like?

i check my tps it's all good baby so it isn't a tps problem but i'm going swap it out see if it makes a difference. Prolly it is boost cut, it went away when i put a check valve on the pressure sensor, i thought that was a good thing but alot of people on the boards told me to undo the check valve because the pressure sensor doesn't read boost, i check my pressure sensor also, it's good! soooooo? is it boost cut?

it's pretty cold here in san francisco = more boost
and i can't trust my damn autometer boost gauge because i got perfect compression, my vac should be around 16-18mmhg? but its like at 10 and when i hit boost cut im around 10 psi..

Sounds like your gauge reads high. Idle should be 15-16inHg (not mmHg) and boost cut is at 8.6psi. What does it read when the engine's off?

it's sooo off that it isn't in the BOX it's at (one) psi.

so should i be hitting boost cut? or is it my pressure sensor/tps?

You are probably hitting boost cut. Youd think your boost gauge showing 10psi (as shitty as autometer gauges are), would be a big enough indication to stay off throttle and get a fcd.

Sounds like fuel cut. It feels like a big hesitation whenever boost goes up to around 8 - 10 psi.

Get an FCD or stay off the throttle because many have blown engines getting into fuel cut.
