Should I buy this eibach pro kit?

A guy is selling a used eibach pro kit. It says "The rear springs have had 1.5 dead coils removed to level the car out." I dont know what this means, but Im looking for some springs with a slight drop and that will help handling w/out costing too much. I heard bad things about the intrax springs, so would you guys recomend these?

I have the Eibach Pros. I would NOT purchase a set that had been cut. These are progressive rate spings, not sure what effect cutting them would have. FWIW I don't like the Eibachs because of the progressive rate (although they are great in hard cornering and still give a good ride). I think the "soft area" of the progressive springs makes the car feel less responsive but maybe that's just me. BUT....I wish I had just bought stock springs (TII).

i have an 88 TII and i think the springs suck. for some reason, that guy thinks the progressive coils are dead coils...meaning they don't do anything they just take up space. i put eibach sportlines on my camaro and the rear sat considerably higher. but the design of the camaro has isolators between the spring and the body. i removed that and my camaro leveled right out and handled awsome with AGX shocks and 255 kumhos. anyway, i'm new...do FC's have isolators??(rubber pieces above the spring)

That guy cut them to make them look even (I was thinking about it too, but decided not to).

I have them on my vert. For spirited driving, they are okay. From having C-overs on my old T2...I rather go with C-overs. But, for everyday use, the Eibach pros are GREAT! Get GOOD shocks.
