91 black convertible,mint shape 71,000 miles
Only one thing wrong,its an auto and the tranny is gone out in it.
Guys wants 1500.00--should I ?

yes. You would want to swap the tranny for a manual anyway. That is a good price for a low mileage mint condition S5 vert. if it really has no other problems buy it now!

Sweet,
Its a computer controlled tranny,so how much of a pain in the *** is it going to be to swap it to a 5 speed

Just swap the ECU and the gauge cluster for S5 manual pieces, and you'll be good to go.
