should i block off acv?

i have pace setter headers and i have the 6pi working w/ the air pump !.Iwas reading the fc3s forum and it says that if i'm using the air pump to open the 6th/5th ports ,he recomend to block the acv ? what do you guys think?

It isn't necessary to remove it, but if you don't need/want functioning emission controls then it can be removed.
