Should fan run?
When I start my car up, should the fan run right away? I'm not sure anymore, I guess I never really paid attention. It seems like since I've tightened my alternator belt, it's either running more, or is just louder, I'm not sure. Anything would be great.
Thanks

a good way to check if your fan clutch is fine or not is to let the car sit overnight for example and dont start it up, open the hood and try to spin the fan with your hand. It ought to spin at least about half a revolution with a pretty good push. If it just stops and acts like its got tons of resistance than your fan clutch is probably bad. Im pretty new at fc's but if its anything like the fb's i had then its cheaper to convert over to an electric fan setup than it is to replace that fan clutch with a new one. But try that first to see if the clutch feels ok or not.
