shorter throttle cable
shorter throttle cable
Ok I was told today if i shorten the throttle cable it will give me qhicker throttle response. less drap of the start. I guess you have shift quicker too. Anyone have any comments on that? I was looking at doing it but if it will make is a snappy ride i really dont want that during the winter. He said he did it to his supra.
Any help on that would be great.

This is utter most BS. Now what you should do is check the cable tension. If the tension is lose go ahead and brake the locknut lose and titan the tension bolt up till you get the slack out. There should be a little tiny bit of play you can consult the FSM or Haynes manual for exact specs if you wish. It can simple just be tightened to minimal slack.

I think he's confusing shorter throttle cable with lightweight flywheel.
Now, if your cable needs adjustment, it can improve throttle response/feel some (by eliminating the slop in the pedal before the butterflies move), but that's just a matter of adjusting something back to where it should be.
