Does any one if they make a short shofter for a second gen. i've talked to some places and they say they do not. if you know of any list where i can get it

they do, look on mazda trix, there about 200 dollars, but they reduce the throw of the shift by more than half.

i got my 2nd gen short shifter on eBay pretty cheap, well alot cheaper than the mazdatrix one which this one basically is. search for it on there. it's not on there too often though since i think the seller has to make a new batch.

Not sure, but I think the ones on ebay are not true short-shifters and are actually just shorter shafts.

 

I love my mazdatrix short shifter, when I first used it I was missing all the gears for a minute because it is so different to me, and I thought that it wasn't going in to gear all the way because it felt so little.

last time i checked b & m makes it for just 3rd gen... c's make one for the fc, so does mazdatrix and here

the one i got from the guy on eBay IS a true short shifter. actually the height is just slightly shorter than stock but the throws are VERY short. kinda notchy but i like it like that it came with all new bushings as well.

 

I got the eBay one as well. No complaints here.
