Does anyone know were I can find a site or detailed instructions of how to make a home made short shifter?

I don't think that is the best option but it will probably be a bit shorter.

I just bought a Mazdaracing Shorty myself and I love it.

Check them out at wwwmazdaracing.com (cheapest)
www.mazdatrix.com also has one($$$)
PM hIGGI on this forum for his own shifter(cheap but does not include new bushings which the other two do)
www.corksport.com also has the MAZDASPEED shifter I think.
THe only other one that I know about is the C's short shifter. kinda rare as I have only heard of one guy with it a while ago.

I actually cut my shifter down to about a 1/4 below the threads, and installed an aftermarket shift ****. looks great.......... but the throw hasn't changed, it just looks like a short shifter. if you really want a short shifter you'll need to buy one of the aftermarket ones rx7guy, mentioned
