Thumbs up LSD Swap

I have a 90' gx and I want to swap in an lsd. My question is does the lsd bolt straight up to the existing drive axles and so the only thing I would have to remove would be the differential or is there more to it then that.

N/a-N/a

TII-TII

if you follow that it should bolt right up.

But remember that N/a and TII LSD's are not the same size.

Its a straight bolt-in using a S4 n/a LSD. I just used the whole diff, it was a little easier.

As I understand you can bolt a Miata torsen (sp?) LSD up to an N/A with no problem, but I don't like Torsen.

1987 - So I'm guessing that the tII lsd is probably better or is it just a little different gear size. So that means if I went with the tII lsd would I need a complete tII drivetrain? thx

The turbo2 rear end uses a 8" ring, while the N/A uses a 7" ring. You would need to swap in the entire T2 rear end and axles, then get a custom drive-shaft made if you were using the N/A tranny still.. I did a write up on swapping LSDs, you shouldve searched

https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...n+LSD+rear+end

And Center of The Universe, exactly why dont you like the torsen? Have you ever driven a car with one?
