short range tps Q

i just stripped off my rats nest and replaced all vac lines, also eliminated the BAC. now im having some idle and low rpm problems. first off, the engine seems to stutter up until 2k or so when i start to apply the gas. not really bad, but feels like it misses occasionally until the rpms get up a little. the car seems to idle okay when i first start it up, and when it warms up just sitting there, but when i drive it for a few min or more, the idle goes up to 2k+. the only sensor that i have left that i know of that would affect the idle is the TPS, i think its called the short range one. do i need this? when i unhooked the tps completely, it idled perfectly. could i just cut the wires going to the short range and just leave the full range operating?

also, i just got a greddy fmic kit, but it didnt come with instructions or anything, where can i find some?

1) your idle sucks because of the BAC removal- now you have nothing to allow more intake air in to keep the idle stable under loads
2)I'm not sure WHY, but I don't think it's a good idea to remove the TPS (maybe the fact that it lets the ECU know what the throttle's doing, so that fuel can be adjusted accordingly?)
3)I wouldn't think "slipping" a clutch could possibly help it break in...

To break in the clutch, either drive easy for about 150 miles, or do numerous long steady clutch-slips. Atleast thats what the directions were for my ACT 4-puck. I would see why that doesn't go for all other clutches.

1) i removed my AC, PS, airpump, and all emmisions. the only thing that is putting load on the engine is the alternator and water pump. before i removed my rats nest, i had the BAC unplugged and a thin peice of metal between it and the manifold, and my idle was rock solid at 800 rpm.

2) im not talking about removing the entire tps, s5s have two tps sensors, i believe one that controls the idle, and one that senses the throttle postition over the entire throttle range. the short range is adjustable, so i think that just controls the idle.

3) crxtorx7 sounds like he actually knows what hes talking about, so im going to go with his opinion.

anyone ever have the low rpm stuttering problem? its really bothering me.
