DUDE! That is awesome! Sometimes I try to shoot flames with my car (gutted main cat) but just smoke comes out sometimes I've shot flames before they're pretty damn loud, I accidently shot one at church in the parking lot when I couldn't get my friends attention (horn isn't connected) But i'll soon have my bonez hi-flow so good bye flames

Sometimes my car will stall, and I will fire her back up and hear a loud bang.

That picture looks like they sprayed starter fluid in the exhaust!!

Damn those are some high power flames! How big of an exit on those mufflers? I think that has a lot to do with the type of flame (such as quick blue cones) or big puffy flames. Most the time mine are quick puffs of yellow flame, but recently they've been massive blue flames (as in the picture). Just wait until July 15th when I get back in town and have my coworker videotape it.

Hehe I had a friend with a '81 with just a ghetto *** pipe for exhaust and it shot flames like non other. It was pretty bad *** because it was really shitty looking and people in ludes and civics would laugh until it started shooting fire at the light and beat the tar out of their p.o.s honda. I miss that car. It was the car that made me love RX-7's. My friend showed me the car and I thought it was a real pile of **** until I drove it and I was like "You payed only $300 for this?"

i was driving home one time, and my friend was behind me in his truck, and i turned a corner, redlined it in first, shifted to second, and the minute i touched the clutch.....BRAAAPPP! My friend was a car length behind me and he said it almost got his bumper.

rb header, hi-flow cat, y-pipe, HP Racing N1 mufflers, no tb mod, all emissions. i guess some cars do it better than others:shrug:

to put the question to rest: so what is the best way to shoot flames?

i have a 91 n/a K&N drop in, stock exhaust manifold, hollowed precat, bonez superflo, RB catback. i dont have an SAFC...will get one soon.

can i shoot flames that way?

im planning to get an RB presilencer during non-emissions time.

i have 88 gtu
shooting flame is pretty easy
rb dp, cat+corksprot cat back
turn the a/f to r.
and step and the gas.
i think s4 it's alot easier, because it had the stock a/f adjust screw to run rich/learn.
without any afc

*i will take picture and video soon... within a month maybe?*

A bad PD will allow you to shoot flames from under your hood.

Not quite 'on demand', and it's not easy to reproduce for your friends.

Close.
The simple solution is to mount a sparkplug (and no it mustn?t be anything special) on the exhaust tip. If you do it right even the emissions tests won't even pick up the anomaly. Just don't anything dumb like activate said plug during the test. But that's simple common sense.

You don't need another plug in the exhaust. A rotary will blow the flame from the exhaust cycle all the way through the exhaust.

Run 87 on an n/a and stock tII.

93+ on any modified tII

i took out my air pump. hks. filter. blocked my acv. rb headers to a rb pre silencer (cat replacement). to dual n1s.

so i was like lemme try this **** out, but when i did ****** wouldnt fire, so i gave up, then one night i told my bro to just rev it to redline and let off and boom flames. i got a video but dont know where to host it.

oh and i tried how some people say rev it about 6k and rev rev then let off then full throttle it and let go and it should fire, but it never worked for me, all i gotta do is full throttle to redline and release and POP. goes the weasel

Also - the throttle dash pot setting will make a difference.
When the TPS sees closed throttle, you get a fuel cut.
Setting the dash pot up a little, holds the throttle off idle for a second during deceleration.
No load + hot pipes + fuel = FOOM!
