shocks/struts

Is it really NEEDED to buy the adjustable kind? For example KYB's or Tokico's, I'm gonna be replace my suspension this winter and lowering it about an 1" or so. I am getting the RB spring kit, which includes the new sway bars. What your thoughts?

thanx
Chris

you may or may not want adjustability depending on how you use your car. if it is strictly an autocross car you may want to get non-adjustable but very stiff suspension, if you are strictly daily driving you can get soft suspension. BUT if you are going to be doing a mix of both and dont want an annoying uncomfortable ride the whole time then you will want to be able to make it smoother on the road, and more solid at the track.

No it's not "needed." But if you want to be able to adjust them, and didn't buy the adjustables... get the picture? There are some pretty good non adjustables out there as well though. Tokico, and KYB make some good non-adjustable units...later

you'll regret it if you dont get adjustible ones.

so...get the ones that are adjustible, not that much more expensive, and worth it.

Shocks - put simply

Tokico Blues = non adjustable upgrade shock good for everyday driving
KYB AGX or Tokico Illumina = adjustable shocks so you can change ride properties for either everday driving or spirited/track driving as needed. ie: make your ride softer or stiffer.
