Shiftknob shakes like crazy

Anyone know why it shakes so much? It's ok when im driving..but.. at idle its not ok.

most likely the shifter bushings. It's a common problem. I replaced mine last week and it shifts fine. Easy to fix, but about $60 in parts.

You can get a miata short throw for about the same price. If i could do it all over again, i'd go that route.

And, honestly man, do a search. There's about a million posts on this topic. I hardly ever post because every question has already been asked

just the **** shakes? is it a stock or aftermarket **** first of all??

if its stock make sure that its threaded down far enough and tight against the locknut.

if its aftermarket, theres 2 common types: threaded and the ones with allen screws. If its threaded then make sure its the same threads and do the same as if its a stock ****. if its held in by allen screws then you can try a bunch of different things. put thread locker on the allen screw threads, try that white plumbers tape (i duno wat its called) around the shifter threads ... thers a few other things.
