shifting or tran??
Well i have a 91 gxl model, the problem is that where the shift *** is .it gets really hot there when am driving and it blows hot air from there can this be fixed? is it my tran? what can it be and what can i do to stop this????

Thats normal.
Use a good synthetic gear oil.
And, replace all the shifter boots.

There is also some insulation under the main shifter boot. Make sure that its there.
And, make sure the catalytic isn't clogged and that the engine is running well since heat leaking into the cabin could come from the exhaust or even the engine compartment.
