shifter bushings

shifter bushings

if i buy a short shifter would that fix the play. or just buy the bushings. i never had a short shifter and have no idea how they work lol k thanks

If all you want is to fix the play, change all the bushings.

A short shifter raised the point at which it shifts, therefore reducing the amount of distance the top has to shift and add to the amount of effort you need to shift.

I did everything in the above guide and it makes your shifter feel like new, however, looking back I think I should have spent a bit more and upgraded to short throw at the same time.

To fix your play all you need to do is change the bushing.

The short shifter kit will probably come with its own bushing in the kit, and will obviuusly shorten the throw of the shifter along with getting rid of the play. However some people have reported many short shifters end up rattleing for some reson.
