everyonce in a while when i start my car up it just shoots white smoke everywhere. its real thick looking. anyone know whats up?

 

i can see what you sig says, but we need more info please. specify when you ask the question. if its S4 or S5, NA or T2.

is it blue airy smoke i.e oil? or is it very thick white smoke that smells sweet if you smell it (dont take a big wiff....just enough to make a decision)

lets put it this way, you DONT want it to be thick white smoke that smells sweet. that means blown coolant seals. if its oily smoke it could be a stuck oil injector or stuck open OMP (both very unlikely, but ive seen it happen..) or oil seals that are slowly failing.
