Shifter Bearing

Hey, looked through mazdatrix and didn't find it but maybe I missed it but today found out my shift was missing the bottom plastic bearing.

Where can I get one?

Thanks,
Mike

Then whats all the talk in the write up about sanding it down. And I think they help with the shifter rattle.

The Miata and SA/FB and FD trannys use them.

So if you are using a Miata Short shifter in a FC then you need to have a sanded down version of that bushing.

But if you are using a FC shifter in a FC, then there is no bushing. There is not enough room for it. The FC shifters have bigger ***** at the end of the shifter.

They are talking about using a Miata short throw shifter in an FC. The plastic bushing needs to be sanded down to work in the FC tranny. The stock FC shifter does not use a plastic bushing to my knowledge.

Well I was thinking the FC's might not but wasn't sure.

I had to install the miata shifter without that bushing and it works fine just unsure if it will hurt anything or not. Doesn't seem to be effecting it besides the small rattle ever so often.

I misread your post, I thought I missed something and that you couldnt use it in the FC tranny at all. Sorry

do you need to fit a spacer on a short shifter for fc rx7. The spacer would be to lift the lower ball holder in place like the plastic ring at the top of the ball but the one that goes under neath it that mounts in the transmission?
