Shift lights, are these adequet

I want to get a shift light. I'm not looking for anything fancy, just something that will work well. I found these on ebay (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/PRO-S...QQcmdZViewItem) I was wondering if these will work for Rx-7s. Thanks

i don't see why it would not work. BTW: why do you need a shift light?

What's wrong with the obnoxiously loud shift buzzer?

Or do you really just want something big and flashy to stick to the dash...

or can you not look at the huge rpm and the road at the same time.. you should pretty much know when to shift anyways by the pitch.. but hey if you want to be blinded while driving the car hard at night n swerve off the road n what not be my guest.. lol jk

Actually, I couldn't really hear mine over the exhaust. It ruined scaring people with the buzzer.

damn ya'll, quit being *** hats. Just answer the mans question, always have to be difficult.

What do you want a turbo for? so it can make a high pitch wining noise and make your car really fast you can drive in to a van with kids in it going 130 mph?

you get the point.

yeah, now youll just have to probe out the wires and figure out wich wires you need to splice into to get the shift light to work. i have a factory service manual and i know wich wires are for the shift light so if you ever do get the light and need to know what wires you need to splice into, PM me and ill let you know... for an s4 anyway...

That's probably the dumbest thing I've ever seen posted. It couldn't be less relevant to this thread if you tried...

yay! I'm not alone,

EDIT: Oh yeah the question. Yes that shift light will work. it's all electronic and you wire it into the tach signal and set the dial on the back to where you want the light to come on. personally i preffer the sequential lights like on an F1 car. on, 1...on,2...ON 3 SHIFT!

No need to splice. There's an unused female bullet connector on the trailing coil wiring harness to allow for connecting a diagnostic tach. You can plug straight into there and set the tacho or shift light to 4-cyl.

Still pointless IMO, plus nobody's going to break into your car to steal the shift buzzer...

Nah, it looks like one of the new aerodynamic toasters.
