shift bushing

OK, this is my first post so humor me. I recently purchased an 88 10th anniversary turbo 2... i had the motor recently replaced and the turbo reconditioned and currently the motor has 1670 miles in a body with 81k miles. i was wondering two things about this car... 1) do 2nd gens have a reputation for having a rough idle after they have warmed up? it idled rough before the new motor, but recently it has started to idle like crap again... (yes i did do everything that i was told in the break in process of this engine) 2) is there a bushing that can be bought for the gear shifter to make some of the sloppiness dissappear? thanks alot for any help

I dont think the idle should be rough at all, especially after it warms up. And as for the shifter bushings, go to www.mazdatrix.com They have all the parts youll need as well as complete instructions on how to do it. I changed my bushings and it feels like a totally different car, well worth the fix.
