My shift boot in my 88' GXL has finally cracked up.. Does anyone know what the material was?? Exp: Leather or vinyl.. I found a company that makes 100% leather oem replacement boots and was going to ask the forums opinion about getting the original boot or leather one?? Thanks for the feedback,

all the models except the 10thAE had vinyl shift boots.

Leather (if maintained) will last longer than vinyl, but if you don't maintain it... well it will dry out and die
