She's alive well sort of.

After 8 months of working on the car on the odd weekend. She fired up right away with no hesitation, smoked abit from the fogging oil. I did not tottaly strip the engine apart. I basically removed a bunch of **** and replaced what was needed. It's sad to say but she needs some extent bodywork. Rust is a killer here in Canada especially when the previouse owner never rust proofed (Bastard).

I wasn't sure if the engine was weak or blown. So not knowing if all the time in a non heated garage during winter and money put in was a waste. I drove her home from my friends place. It seemed to be running well. As anxicouse as I was I tested her out. Came to a stop then floored her up the road with a huge smile on my face, as I shifted into second gear the *** end broke out a little. Very pleased of the power not knowing what a pretty much stock N/A is capable of.

On the down side due to rust the gas return line is leaking, and the rear left brake line is leaking asswell. All the lines are very rusted so I might need to replce everthing from front to back. Not sure what to do yet with the car, we will see.

Do a full tune up if you already haven't, and replace all the rusted and or leaking lines. Make sure your 6 ports are opening up too.
