SHE'S ALIVE!!!!...with a couple bugs
Don't know if anybody noticed, but my T2 has been giving me all sorts of problems the last month. Bad injector, broken LIM, oil explosion/fire. I finally got it runningtoday. I don't think I have ever been so excited. But....
When I turn the wheel, the whole car shudders(only when making a turn).
When I turn it off, but leave it on, I hear this clicking noise(like a mini machine gun) coming from under the intercooler on the driver side of the car. I felt around and can feel it in a blue clip. I'm going to look in the FSM and see what it is. Maybe these are related?
Still won't hold an idle very well. TPS? I removed emissions so will I need to adjust the idle?

Stock boost FTW!

The ticking noise is usually the Idle Air control. Typically, when it ticks, it is because of a bad ground. Check the ground on the driver's side under the trailing coil, it is probably corroded. Someone on the other board had this same problem, and that was the cause.
Hope this helps,
Vince

Not sure about the shuddering. need more details.
The only blue thing under the TMIC I can think of on the driverside is the stock boost duty solenoid (which also accounts for the clicking). Probably a wiring issue.
I had to readjust my idle after removing the rats nest so check your TPS and adjust according. If it's within spec and still wont idle it's most likely a big vac leak somewhere so double check everything.

Yea, I think the vac leak is coming from the ACV block off plate.
The shuddering when turning was an old hose clamp for like a rad hose or something of that size stuck between the sway bar and u-joint. oops
