She Sucks: Day 3

Well, did another water treatment...stuck her vac line in about a gallon and a quarter of water with maybe a cup of pine-sol still floating in the bottom...figured it couldn't hurt.

Compression has not changed on the front rotar...haven't checked the back, if the front sucks it simply doesn't matter whether the other does or not. Stuck the compression guage in her hole and she pulled, again, an even 60lbs...which still leaves me in the 75psi area.

Also, after running the water through her, I registered an 11~12in/hg vacuum at idle (1100rpm) and 15~16in/hg at 1500rpm...slightly better than earlier.

Can anyone tell me why the manual says that compression is supposed to be 85lbs?

Lol, no kidding. I've heard the water thing, but pine-sol? Isn't that pushing your luck?

actually, I don't see anything wrong with it...especially considering amount that got taken in. I suppose I could have washed the jug out first...but didn't see the point.

BTW, what makes you think 75lbs. is not low? Just asking because you questioned the FSM's number.

No I didn't. I never once said that 75lbs isn't low and I questioned how the FSM got 85lbs as normal.

Ah, my mistake, I read too much into your reply then. Not sure the answer though.
