tranny issue NOT A FAQ
i have an s4 na
my tranny vibrates while reversing ONLY its makes kind of a clunking noise. but forward gears are fine.
i have other tranny issues which are address in faq so i wont mention them unless you think theyre related.
but i would like to ask the average life of a na tranny

Life of any transmission will be dependent on driving style and abilities.
It could last 5000 miles or 200,000 miles.
I'd also be looking at the driveshaft U joints and differential mounts if you are getting a clunk only in reverse. Might not be the tranny at all.
And you do know there is no reverse gear syncro???, so some roughness is expected if the input shaft is still spinning when slotting the tranny into reverse.
