Serious steering & Rear End problems.

I was driving down the road. When I come to a stop there is lots of squeeking and dragging in the rear end. When I back up I can hear the gears in the rear but not your typical backing up sound this sounds like a fishing real pulling the drag out. Then I was driving down the street and I would get a dragging and a pull to the left. I know this is not normal. All the sudden the car had lots of popping in the left front and dragging like the wheel was gonna come off. Any ideas before I tear it apart.

Definitely jack your car up and take a peek. Rotate your wheels by hand to see if you get any noise from them. Maybe wheel bearings? Inspect the rubber boots on the CV halfshafts, suspension parts, and check the rear brake calipers and brake fluid.

Also, check the differential fluid level by removing the top nut on the back of the differential. Stick your pinky in there to see where the level is. Smell it and visually inspect it for small metal shavings or anything else that looks odd.
