Serious hesitation at 3500-5000rpm

Hey, not to sound like i am a newb, but i just got in from a 3 mile drive and on the way home i tried to push it and it went lifleless at 3500rpm. Then in second it was the same until i got to 5000 and everything was good. I am thinkind sec. injectors. My secondary ports are wired open and my actuators are removed w/ blockoff plate. Just wondering if anyone had this same prob and had a quick fix for it. Could it be possibly dirty injectors.

I drove the car 5 days ago and it was fine. This is a rebuild w/ 22k miles too. S5 vert. Just so you know.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

sounds like a ground problem to me. Go through and check your grounds and redo/run some new ones.

I did notice a black wire hanging with no type of connector at the end. it seems to be coming from a harness that is at the bottom of the engine on the rear drivers side. Do you think that it is possible this could be a factor? A buddy told me maybe the secondary butterflies in the throttlebody. I just know its something stupid because like i said i drove the car 5 days ago and it was fine.

this is for aaron cake! Hey the ground wire you were speakinf of by the drivers side shock tower, is it located towards the rear of it and down by the starter? I noticed a little black wire hanging and not connected to anything. I wa wondering if this is a possible ground that caused my car to do the infamous 3800 hesitiation. I am thinking it is because at 6000rpm it kicks back in. But from 3800-6000 it is almost dead and very jerky. Sorry to bother you again. But its starting to get dark and i wanna gat this prob fixed asap.

If anybpdy else can answer this for me please help me out. Tahnks.

How the hell is that dangling? That is the only ground wire for the car. There may be another small one spliced into it but I cant remember. Anyhow it has an eye loop and goes through the long starter bolt.

This reminds me of a pm I got trying to solve a vibration. I later find the kid removed the woodrift key from the front counter weight because he had a hard time puting the pully on.

No the one with the black box is a resistor I think its to do with the oil sensor/sender/gauge if I recall correctly. It does get hooked up but still works unhooked and wont cause vibration. I have read you dont hook it up but I have seen several full OEM FC's and they were hooked up. Basicly it just bolts anywhere you can put it.

The ground for the car is a 4GA black yellow stripe wire.

I realy would look the TPS first, it's free to check. Then go onto ground solutions. First clean the grounds realy well befor going and adding stuff to patch it up. This is also ushaly free.

Sorry havent got to your PM been buissy around here. Cleaning the shop and all geting ready to paint friday and stuff.

okay well i hope to god its just a tps adjustment, because its only 22k miles old. Its just worrying me to no end. Awesome until 3500rpm and bammo.......All the way to 5500rpm and then it kicks back in all the way to 8000rpm. I just cant figure it out. This type of crap makes me wanna go back to the FB's........Okay well maybe i am just upset....I did not really mean that lol!

**** my SA gives me more headaches then FC. It's 98% a TPS or ground. Actually the FB only probs I have out of it outside of general maintenances is flooding some times, won’t idle below 2k b/c of the CAT.
