Series 5 tail lights compatibility

Ok, just picked up some series 5 tail lights of off a convertable. Can you tell me if they will fit a non convertable as well? Also, do I need to get the license plate bracket? I didn't think about it but saw some people selling their lights with the license plate bracket?

That would be wrong on both counts.

Yes, the vert lights fit coupes just fine (the Euro spec coupes use the same size lights), and yes you would need the license plate surround/bracket unless you wanted the metal of the car surrounding the plate.

ok thanks, I picked them up for resale but I own a first gen so I am not too familiar with the second gen and wanted to know what they fit before advertising them. I will run to the yard tomorrow and get the license plate surround/bracket. I guess the only down side to using them on a coupe would be that you would have an extra key hole in the rear since the vert doesn't have it on the trunk lid like the coupes.

thanks guys
