Question series 5 t2 question

I recently bought a 90 t2 but i am confused about something. My tach only goes to 8k rpm and i thought that was redline for these cars. Does anyone have a pic or any info they could tell me about the dash gauges?

Thanks

blah

Our cars have their max power at 6800 RPM ish anyways, that is when I notice a drop off of power...but now that I have my new exhaust I hit top power earlier and don't drop off until 6800 RPM...I just shift 6600-6700, once I get more fuel and better ignition, then I will go to 7500 shifting.

Don't need to redline it, most power is lost by then in a stock or near stock setup.

HP and TQ drop off after 66K on S5s thanks to the stock turbo.

umm when drag racing i've found the fastest time is to redline each gear. if you shift early your gonna need an extra shift to 4th gear. if you redline each gear your at 8000rpm at the end of the track which is PERFECT
