I'd personally pick a 85.5 944 due to the more refined interior and controls. I've driven several stock 944's and they are very nice handling cars...not the ballsiest cars out there though.

I dunno, the 944's are pretty nice, but for the cost of maintenance, you could be driving a 3rd gen.
If I remember correctly, you have to drop THE REAR SUBFRAME to change the clutch. And I think at cost the clutches are like 800.
A timing belt job is like $60,000, and god forbid the belt breaks...
I would definitly make sure the car was maintained and have a mechanic who knows the cars look it over before you sell your GTU.
