Selling the 95R2 to finish the 89TII
Well I'm building a TII from the ground up...and I mean building....so I'm selling my 95 R2 to free up some cash for the project, so it looks like I'll be spending most of my time in this forum

FD > FB > FC
why on earth would you sell a 95 R2??? You dont run across those things everyday, and there arent that many of them left.
I wouldnt ever let that slip out of my hands.

I wouldn't start modifying a 95 just because they are so rare. Since it seems that he wants a souped up ride, I would sell the 95 and use the $25k or so to make a REALLY nice FC. Do you have any idea what kind of FC $25k would make? A really damn nice one that's for sure.

The only reason I agree with what you want to do is that it would be a shame to modify such a rare car.
Otherwise I'd say stay FD! I think I'd be happy with a stock FD forever. Actually, I'd change the suspension and stuff, but I'd probably leave the engine completely alone.
Not knocking on the FC, I love my car to death, but come on. The FD is drop-dead gorgeous and has performance to match.

hrm.. i'd say keep them both.. progressively build the FC.. then you'll see more of a what each part did for the car vs the one lump sum investment of woah to WOOOAHHH
Then you keep both your rare cars.. S5 TII and '95 R2.
and to say don't modify a car because it's rare? why the hell not.. that's like saying the 10th ae shouldn't be touched or a GTUs (the rare cars of the FC world)..

i say sell the 95R2 and keep it stock and pristine......the FDs are beautiful but taking a car like an R2 and modding it would be like putting 20's and a fartcan on a 65' ferrari GTO......somethings are just better left as virigns....and stock....and since this guy obviously wants to add some serious nuttage to his rotors then 25k is one hell of a wauy to go...i agree with eveyone else........tri rota mota baby!!!

This had better become one wicked fc like Soulassassin's was... I wanna see 500+ rwhp, and you NOT blow it. If not, then why even sell the fd? Soooo much potential with the fd over the fc.
And whoever says don't mod rare cars - umm.. whatever. Mod 'em all! A'int nothing like seeing a rare car lookin' damn good, and then see it take off like a rocket. The rare ones are what SHOULD be modded, just to show everyone the rarity along with the potential. Like mine!

LOL, that is poetry. Now for the FD vs FC debate:
Rarity? According to PVerdieck over in the FD forum, only 18 Black 95 R2s came to America. 10thAEs are as common as Proteges compared to that. And everyone knows that using up a rare one just makes the others rarer. These cars were meant to be driven.
Performance? We all know that the FD's stock and modified potentials completely overshadow the FC's.
Reliability? Well, once you push any rotary to it's limits it gets fragile. Somewhere in the archives, I can't seem to find it, is most of somebody's SAE technical paper discussing the numerous differences between S4 turbo, S5 turbo, and S6 twin-turbo engine blocks. The differences in cooling passages, dowel thickness & placement, rigidity, etc, are suprising. The 13B-REW is a far more stout powerplant, but will always carry the reputation of being fatally flawed due to terrible heat management, cruel engine management, and the old complication-leads-to-more-things-to-fail fact.
So it all comes down to one thing: Todd's choice. I know what mine would be... will you take an illegible out-of-state check (with no ID shown) for the R2, Todd? Just Kidding. See you around.

Yes it is for sale again. This time I am selling it. I'm looking into an engine for my TII and I don't want to pay for both cars anymore, plus I could use the extra $ for the TII. I know the FD is unreal, but the FC is where my heart is. I'm sorry. Anyway, I'll keep you informed. And its forsale in the sale section below
