secondary port sensitivity

I have an RB header and pre-silencer, with a 2 1/2" mandrel bend pipe, and a Dynomax ultra-flo round muffler. All is stainless. Well I made it too good.
I designed this system for low back pressure. I origonaly had it on my 88 n/a now it is on my 86 n/a since I blew the 88 2 months after the exhaust was on.
On the 88 the secondary ports worked until I broke them. ( another story of modification gone wrong)
On the 86, my sencondary ports have never worked.
I had the wired open, but I don't like the dramic loss of low end.
Today I had my brother put his foot over the exhaust tip, and I reved the engine. they opened! How do I make the ports work without adding back pressure to the exhaust.
I saw a thing to make a system using an RPM actived switch and a pump for air bag suspension. I don't want to do this because of added complexity and weight.
What do I do?

Here you go.

This site (FC3S) besides being a great site has plenty of info for you to check out. Hope this helps, it's got quite a few different ways to make them work.

so there is no way to adjust the sensitivity on the actuators to make them open with a lower PSI?

Your asking for tooo much. They open at around 2-3 psi if stock.

I think it is more than 3 psi though. I blew into the tube and it took a bit of force. And Number 1 opened later than Number two. there has to be a way to even that out, right?

Clean the ports and they'll open at the same time and faster; and your mouth can only make about 2-3PSI.

I'm doing a system that opens them based on RPM. PM me for details; AgeOfGlow
