Secondary Injectors

Ok, so this morning my car was stuttering like a bitch anywhere over 2000rpms. So I popped the hood and look at the injectors to make sure that they were connected... well when I looked I saw a small amount of gas leaking from the top of the injector where it connects to the rail... does this mean that the injector is faulty or is it possible that it could be overflowing b/c of a bad connection??? I have another set of injectors so i will replace w/ em today, but I just need some insight.

It could be that the rubber bushings are leaking. There's constant pressure behind the injector.

It could be either a cracked injecter or faulty o-rings. You'll know better when you get in there. Cracked injectoer can be hard to spot, if suspect, just replace them, along with new o-rings.

Those O-rings are available at parts stores.
I always buy spares since they are kind of fragile.
Any time you pull the fuel rail, the O-ring seal can fail.
Always clean the socket & apply a dab of oil when inserting the injectors.

You also need to take a good look a the grommets at the top and bottom of the injector. They should NOT be rock hard or they will cause a air leak. Although your problem seems to be o'ring related, which is another thing. I've seen hairline cracked injectors before also (1).

My problem seemed to be my o-rings, and also I had faulty connectors... so I replaced them and everything seems to be fine... for now...
