Secondary Electronic Fuel Injection NOT Wokring!
Hi-
I have a question. I am having a problem, my secondary fuel injectors arent kicking in when they are suppose to (about 3800 RPM). For the past 1000-2000 miles I have run only on the primarys I am gettin really pissed about them and I would like to know how to fix them, and how difficult the work will be (The only work I have done on my car was install a new LEFT Muffler). So I hope you guys can help me out alot here, because the mechanic will charge god knows how much $$$ (that if he agrees on what the problem is, which he usually doesn't). Thnnx.

I had a similar problem not long ago. It sucks staying below 3500 RPM doesn't it. Anyway.....there are several things you can test if you have a multimeter. My problem ended up being a faulty secondary injector.

Power for these injectors is supplied from 12V through a resistor assembly mounted under your stock air box (if you still have it) with a white round 5-wire connector. Unplug the connector and check the Black/Yellow stripe wire against all the other wires (on the resistor side). You should have a reading of 5-7 ohms. The bad ones are usually open. If these are ok, plug back in, and check the secondary injector plugs. These sometimes get all corroded. If they are clean and tight, meter the injectors. They should read 2-3 ohms. If they are ok, the problem is either the injectors themselves or a bad ECU (blown driver transistors). Good luck!
