Secondary CHIP or INJECTOR?

Hi-

I need to have some work done on my secondaries. But, I do not know how to tell whether the chip needs to be replaced, or the injector itself needs to be replaced. Anyboyd know how I check this?

First off, there isnt really a specific chip you can change, its a whole assembly called the ECU. The secondary hesitation is VERY COMMON in these cars, the first thing I would check is the connections to the injectors. The secondaries are the ones you access easily on the sides of the intake area.

Also check all grounds and connections for cleanliness and corrosion. Another thing that helps is to replas the fuel pump with a Walbro. this makes the sluggish third gear tons better and just by itself helps the hesitation.
