Exactly. A stock port N/a block will never require enough fuel to need larger injectors and a larger fuel pump. Most of the time, even major streerported engines won't. So far it's mixed emotions, but around 170rwhp is generally the limit on the stock pump/injectors. If you do go insane with your porting and go to tune it, make sure you bring a wideband along, some people have had serious issues with running lean on the stock setup, while others have been fine.
In my very limited experience with a wideband on a non turbo car, stock non turbo car, the thing runs rich with the stock injectors and NEEDS a SAFC to REMOVE fuel....not add it. Remember, I said STOCK, normal run of the mill car. My GUESS is that 550's in a STOCK car would kill about fifteen hp. WAG.
yes a SAFC would help if you get it dyno tuned with a wideband. becuase na's run rich from the factory and when you take fuel out it makes it a little leaner but not to much to detonate it.

I put one on my 86 for a short period of time. I also have a wideband from OZ. Yes, the SAFC is a good contribution. The na was too rich especially around five grand. The SAFC can lean it out to a reasonable figure and the car ran a lot crisper. I took it off the na and put it on one of my turbo cars.....a lot more to be gained there. The na is an emergency vehicle and I can't afford three SAFC's. Don't expect the na to run like a turbo just because a SAFC is put on the car. It will run better though.
From experience, 550cc injectors will flatten out you car. You will notice it has a hard time reaching red line and reduction in acceleration. In other words, it will make it slower. As for the 255 pump, itwill work fine but is not needed unless you do some serious mods.
