SEATS ..other than original

I"m tired of lookin at the driver side seat with the rip in the side in my 88 ..I recently went to the scrap yard and saw a set I could put in.(I never got the measurements to compare and haven't been back to compare yet)..there has to be somebody out there that has put a different pair of bucket seats in their car (specifically 2nd gen)...so here it is.. What did you put in for seats or what bucket seats ,in your opinion, would look good in the 88 RX7..thanks guys ......annnndddd type!!!!!!!!!!

180/240 seats
1992 MX3 seats
Z32 300ZX seats
Honda GSR seats (particularly nice and light)
FD seats
FB seats (I actually like some of the FB seats)
RX8 seats
...the list goes on. All will require moderate alteration to fit and be safe, but they're all nice.

Or you could just spend the $300 on generic race seats.

just find some good condition T2 seats. You can't do much better than T2 seats.

Heavy... absolutely. The comfort level depends on your body type I guess.

I WAS THINKIN OF MY MX6 SEATS!..ya i know ..(caps)...they are readily available..(see sig)..too dark outside right now to compare ..I'm not really worried about the sliders ..I'll fab up something with flatstock to get THEM to fit ..and I think the car seats I WAS lookin at were out of an Eagle Vision(?) ..but I want more opinions than just my own..so continue guys and thanks for the replies so far!

somethin from other cars ..the Eagle(?) seats..60 bucks cdn and they are in really good shape..I'm not sinkin tons of cash into this seven ..it's like an experimental job..not gonna screw with the engine .'cause I know I can't **** up the engine if I don't touch it ..so I'm screwin with the interior!!(hey it's there..we are guys..we gotta do somethin' to our cars )so ......seats from other cars ..junkers ricers..something without a stupid-*** logo and that would look like it belonged ...I don't want them to hit the friggin roof or look like someone stuck a couple of friggin LAZY-BOYS in the car!. again I thank the guys that are posting replies..Tessai..got pics?

good luck getting rx8 seats in an fc until i see it done(maybe someone has) i dont think they fit. my buddy and i tried and they're really wide and have to many features to make it an easy do it yourself thing IMO. i bought some ebay knock offs awhile back because my seats were ripped and i went through seat covers in 2 months and really they werent worth it i had to swap the reclining bracket within a week from the stock seats because it broke on the new ones, that and im not really sure how safe they'd be in an accident
i hope others wont make the same mistakes i did

My intentions are to use the original sliders that are in the 7..just mod them to the seat I get..use flat stock if the hole mounts are different..

I did the same thing but I used angle iron instead of flat stock, and there's NO flex to the seat at all where it mounts to the car - now the seat itself is junk, but it sure is in there! Take note and bypass the $70/pair ebay racing seats.
