Seatbelt light.

I was an idiot today and let my battery die. After I got it jumped I noticed that the selt belt didn't immediately retract... I've got a S5... Anyways... The seatbelt light stays on till I've driven for about five minutes and then turns on again after until I turn off the car and start it again. The seatbelt seems to stay in place for about five seconds after I open or shut the door.

Should I just pull off the negative battery cable and reset the problem codes? What's going on here?

The seatbelt and light only do that when there's a loose nut behind the wheel. Remove it and all will be good.

Open the door & press the sensor/switch in the door sill area to simulate the door closing. Does the autobelt retract or is the sensor/switch seem to be a bit shorted?
