Seat belts won't Recoil searched= no results.
Hello,
I have a 1990 Mazda Rx-7 Turbo here in Canada we didn't have the mouse belts and my seat belts won't recoild on their own. Can anybody help me out. Is there a way to fix this or is my local mazda dealer required to replace them as they are a safety item?
Thanks

the recall is only on USA spec S5 coupes.
To fix a conventional retractor belt, you will need to open and clean it. This is not something to be attempted unless you have a decent understanding on how the retractor belts work.

I used some pliars and started a-windin'. This was on an Alfa Romeo, so rx7's might have more tension. Doubt it, but it's a possibility. Go to a junk yard or salvage yard and open one up there and tinker to see if you can do it first.

(I'm not doubting the factuality of your post though)
