seat belt keeps locking up wtf

Question seat belt keeps locking up wtf

i have to pull it out rediculously slow so that people look at me like im a retard in parking lots. if i go any faster than that it just locks. anyone else have this problem?

Take it to the dealership, they have to repair it for the entire life of the vehicle I believe..

Im pretty sure this is for the recall on the 89-92 years (S5) with the automatic belts. They had problems, if you have manual belts im not sure they have to cover it. They may treat it like the pulse dampaner and claim its just a maintence item.

Thats to my understanding anyways, not trying to argue here..

Possibly, but I *think* seatbelts are a safety device that needs to be functional for the life of a vehicle. Of course, i can be totally wrong, and just the auto belts may be covered due to the recall.. Who knows..

It is my understanding that the life time auto seat belt recall warranty covers 89+ series 5 only. Your profile indicates yours is an 88. SOL I suspect.

Mine were doing this for a short while and they took care of it with no problem.
