you can actually purchase new door/window seals. mazdatrix has oem factory seals. if you dont want to replace the seals, you could always try silicone.

replacing the seals are the only real fix.

Most of the seals are pretty shot after 10-15 years, even if the are not ripped or otherwise damaged.

The rear or the side window seals can be adjusted slightly by tweaking the support metal behind the seal, but front seals pretty much need to to be replaced.

Victoria British is probably the cheapest

Hmm I should probably get new seals for my vert too. Except I am putting my money into a big turbo... hell I figure if I go faster the rain won't get in anyway.. right?

Hmm Temp fix = go faster?

^^^ haha

mine only leaks a little bit on the side windows...my whole top was replaced right before i bought the car. i tried to see how the rain was coming in and i cant tell. the rubber stripping looks like its touching all around but it still gets in. if i open and close the door a bit harder it makes the leak smaller. should i replace the stripping?

You can try adjusting the latches. They can be adjusted in the front by just turning the hooks in or out.

In the rear the rear latch bars mounted on the targa section can be adjusted a minor amount (less than 1/8 inch).

This might get you close enough.

The big key to know is that the vert should be almost as quiet as a coupe with the top up and latched. There should be no wind noise coming in from the window areas. If there is, you will have leaks.

And leaks on the vert can be very problematic as where is it leaking in, may not be where you find water.
