searched........Block off plates (where to get)

everyone says k2rd.com however I can't get to their site. Does anyone else have these block off plates??? I tried ebay and yes they can be had there but I don't want to wait for the next time they come around. Really the only thing I need is the bac, asv and szs. If anyone knows of a place please let me know! Thanks!

i think i got mine from mazdatrix ... cant remember for sure though ... check (search for) the vender list that someone made a while ago ... you'll be able to get to a few of those sites that have them ...

I KNOW that racing beat has the split air block off plate, hell actually i have it still if you want it ... i would GIVE you the EGR block off , but i have to trade that for a better stock steering wheel

[QUOTE=NZConvertible]You've got that backwards. Power steering loads are taken care of by the ASV; A/C loads are taken care of by the BAC valve.QUOTE]

Thanks man I aprecaite it however searching some more and found this so I guess I need the asv (don't know what it is) for my power stearing. but I will search mazda trix because you are the second person I heard that from however I looked at that site and couldn't find them.

Lol, for a price I could send you some genuine aircraft aluminum (you'd have to cut it and drill it yourself, though, and I don't know if you're at that point in your life, emotionally speaking)

I found a BAC and a EGR block-off plates today on the floor in the garage. Heh, If you want either of those, say.. $2.00 + $1.50ish s/h each.

And honda hater-- I had to get a different UIM (busted a bolt on the fuel rail in my old one) and the replacement I got didn' thave the casting for the subzero assist. One less thing to block off I figured, but I was happy it didn't have it.

Hondahater - I made mine out of alumium sheeting (probably a bit thinner than the nice, aircraft stuff Wayne has), and RTV sealant.. it seems to work well (I guess it's not the prettiest, though, it's not bad..

My stuff's not really that thick, Wonko, maybe .040 for my EGR plate I made, and like you, RTV all the way

I think the one I made for my MOP opening was even thinner...

Hey, it really may have been the same thickness, then.. I just realized that the aluminum I used was from when Dad worked a Piper And I am a die-hard fan of RTV. RTV, WD40, and Duct Tape are all you need...

Hondahater - Just do it this way, it cuts with scissors or tinships, it's easy to drill, and it's cheap.

Lol, yeah, all kinds of weird **** went on right after that, but the only thing that was even remotely connected to the premix was the fuel pump filter clogging (which drove me batshit for a couple of days, lol)...

Right about the same time as that, I installed injectors that I had gotten from a forum member, without knowing that one of the primaries was rusted to hell internally (they were supposed to be known good), and I fought that problem for three days straight, checking everything on the car BUT the primaries, since I just "knew" those couldn't be the problem. I think I pulled the UIM 4 times in one day before I finally nailed the bastard, lol...

Dunno why you'd pay for these things when they're so easy to make. An offcut of 3mm aluminium plate (free from the scrap bin of any company that uses it), a hacksaw or jigsaw, a drill and either sealant or gasket paper and you're set. Couple of hours work at most.

BTW, you don't need a block-off plate for the split air pipe.

I bought my block off plates from some guy on ebay. His email is: blaz72282@netscape.net
Just email him and he'll sell them to you without having to wait for an auction to end.
