Seals

I had a quick search around the forums, but couldn't really find out that much except for ceramic coating of seals or all out ceramic seals...

I just wanted to know what the various seals are and their good & bads were. Also i was told that when an rx7 detonates it usually just blows a seal straight away? couldn't you get a titanium seal that could suffer a bit of damage or something like that?

Thanks, i'll keep searching around but what i might call seals somebody calls defragulators (just for example) or something. So much harder when you dont know the engine & lingo well

Why don't you do a search for "titanium" and find out why it's stupid to use Ti as apex seal material.

Well i found info on grey & black seals (color makes a difference to the seals?), but they seem so expensive? Like $1,500 US for some seals?
