Hello fellow rotorites....
Ok, the question I'm about to ask deeply concerns me....
My '89 10th Ann. Fc3s is smoking heavily upon start up, but it only does it first thing in the morning....
After car warms up the smoking stops....
Several of the members have asked about smoking before, but this is different, the car billows smoke upon start up in the morning....
Are my APEX SEALS GONE ON MY ROTORS????

Sounds like more oil control rings wearing down. Different than the apex seals, these are close to the center of the rotor, near the e-shaft. When the car is down, oil leaks past the oil ring down into combustionchamber, where its burned when you restart it. When the engine is running, the rings seal well enough. I wouldnt worry highly about it, probably got a good couple of years left in the engine, just start saving upfor a rebuild and port.
