Scored a Turbo II hood for $50
Hey everyone I had to post this because I am so stoked. I just bought a Turbo II hood from my firend for $50! It is missing the actual scoop, but I figure that even if I have to buy a brand new one ($200-$300)I will have saved money overall. What have you other NA owners paid for your Turbo hoods?
Sweet!

Not all of them are aluminum. If you got the aluminum for that price you made out pretty damned good. I don't have a turbo so I won't be sporting a TII hood. If anyone knows of a good deal on aluminium NA hoods lemme know.

I paid $275 for mine but it was mint and complete minus the fact that I still have to get it painted(it is a metallic blue and my car is black). So im still with the NA hood til I get some money together and get it painted.
I had a perfect 91 (aluminum) n/a hood, then I left my hood pins out!
I got my TII hood for $250, and it is in "ok" shape. I think I should've waited for a better deal, but I needed a hood really fast so, oh well...

If you are going to spend the $$ for a new plastic scoop inlet you may want to consider the alternative ones. Mazdaspeed makes a slightly taller scoop inlet, but if this is on an NA you could use the inlet covers that are poular w/ TIIs W/ FMICs in Japan- they have rear facing vents to let engine bay heat out or just seal the hole for an aerodynamic bump in the hood instead of a scoop.
