SCCA Solo2 question.
Quick question regarding the rules in SCCA Solo2 stock classes. The rules allow for replacing parts with parts from the same model of car as long as it's in the same class(ie you can't put turbo parts on a non turbo car, because they're in different classes). The wording of the rules confuses me a little. Does this mean I can take stock parts off of other RX-7's(GTU, GXL), and put them on my 86 Base model? Can I convert to 5 lug hubs, 4 piston calipers, 16" 5 lug wheels, and LSD while still remaining in the stock class?

Stock class, no. You can't create a new model of car. However, you CAN update your car to GXL spec, but you have to install the minimum required gear for that spec.
so typically, I'd build for either GTU(s) or Sport. Just remember, you've gotta have the everything that every car in the class would have. If the car came with AC standard, you have to have AC installed. Etc etc.
That's my interpretation, but I'm not an auto-x guy.
