Question the same old topic: vibration! but this one is weird?

ok, long story short. my car recently has some problem. it make noise and vibration. here are the symptoms:
1)a lot of noise at startup. the noise can be heard from tranny area. sounds like "ed......".
2)pop the hood, check anything loose, but nothing. but I notice that the alternator blet vibrate a lot. unlike normal belt smooth movement, it looks like kind of jumpy, almost coming out of the v groove. but check the voltmeter inside, it is charging fine.
3)after the car warms up, the "ed...." sound still can be heard. the shifter rattles a lot. if I press the clutch petal down to floor, the "ed..." sound disappears. but I still can hear some kind rotating assemlby noise like that.
4)I rev the car to around 2000 rpm at idle, the shifter rattle a little less, but I notice the steering wheel vibrates. I can feel it, and see it vibrate. the higher rpm, the more vibration it gets.
5)the car runs like crap, super slow at lower gears, make more noise and vibration when shift or accerlerate.

here are the things I have checked:
1)check tranny fluid level. it is good
2)recently installed new tranny mounts
3)I tried to shake the engine, but too weak to tell if the motor mounts are bad.
4)never had this problem until recent tranny mount replacement. I am not blaming the new tranny mount. maybe I didn't do that right.

I would like to hear more opinions from you guys about the belt and steering wheel vibation. thinking about to check and change the motor mounts. do you guys agree?

thanks
