can somebody please list all the things that will cause the car to go into safe mode, mine isn't throwing codes. thanks
I know OMP and AFM, what else?

 

first off, if it's an s4, it doesn't have a safe mode... so if it is an s5, it should be throwing a CEL if it is going into safe mode. What is the car doing when it goes into this "safe mode"

 

its an S5 w/o any codes in safe mode, cuts out under load
... its stopped even running close to proper so will check the fuel pump and TPS and see again. Not sure if its even the OMP but it sure pulled great for a bit its a vert turbo conversion with all the tweaks and the suspension done to the limit and a new interior yada yada
its a chop job so no CEL
And why doesn't the factory service manual mention ANYTHING

Hmm.... I'm not too sure, by the looks of it from the FSM, if ANYTHING that the ECU controls goes to crap it could limp it out!!! I'd pre-mix just in case it is the OMP, check the OMP for sure, you already ahve got the fuel pump and TPS, maybe the AFM, Water thermosensor, o2 sensor.... prob not the o2 on second thought. Hopefully one of the S5 guys will chime in.
