Safe Halfbridge/ boost?

Hi guys, i'm looking to get my engine rebuilt sometime soon with a half-bridge at the sametime. What would be the minimum things i would need in order to prepare for it? Not minimum as in it will run ok but may blow at any moment. I mean the least ti need to do to have the car running right, after a tune.

Also what kind of boost would be safe to run on an engine(13bt) that has 200k kms on it? Would it be safe running 10psi? What's a good boost controller?

My mods are: Full 3" exhaust, no cat, K&N drop in(is that a mod? :S), new clutch, HKS fuel cut defender.

Thanks people.

are you asking how much boost should you run on you're motor before or after you rebuild it?

with those mods you should already be experiencing boost creep up to about 10psi, especially if you are running an s4 turbo, so I would get the wastegate ported before you blow your engine.

you are also gonna need a shitload more fuel than stock for more boost/halfbridge. probly a 250lph pump, and 4 720s minimum. plus an Rtek 1.8 or 2.0 to control it.

A half BP on the stock turbo is not necessary. It won't even be worth it. It will spool up super quick and fall right off.

You will need a large aftermarket turbocharger, FMIC, full engine management with injectors and pump to support your HP goals, custom exhaust, upgraded clutch, gauges, set of tires to actually get the power to the ground, etc.

10 PSI at the most with those mods assuming you have some way to tell you that you are not leaning out (EGT, wideband). Don't try to do it by reading the plugs because at that point you are already picking apex seals out of the mufflers. If you want to be safe, upgrade the secondary injectors and use a piggyback fuel controller (S-AFC, etc.).
