Is it safe to drive with the PS D/c?

I am having some REAL trouble connecting the return line banjo bolt on the rack for the power steering hydraulic lines. Does anyone have any advice on how to hook this bastard up???

If i can't get it today i'm wondering if its okay to drive a small distance maybe 4 kms to a shop where they can hook it up..

Thanks, Evan

There are 2 banjo bolts that are the same size, then the third one is larger. Make sure you are putting the right one in the right place. If you drive with the line disconnected, its going to leak fluid out of the hole but it won't damage anything unless you run the whole thing dry. That shouldn't happen over 3 or 4 miles though.

More than a couple people have drained the rack entirely and ran it like that for long periods of time, without any ill effect. Now with that said these people planned to never use the "power" rack for actual hydraulic use again, not sure running the rack dry is the best idea if you plan on using it with a hydraulic pump again.
