Safe boost

Hi guys, Just wired up an APEXI AVC-R boost controller last night. I accidentally adjusted the solenoid duty cycle too damn high and the boost spike up to 0.95 bar in my stock standard 1991 series 5. Was lucky that I didn't blow anything (was only momentarily in 1st gear). So, I'm just wondering what is the maximum safe boost pressure for my car with mild mod, ie. full exhaust system, pod filter, knight sport turbine (dunno whats the A/R ratio).

Also, I couldn't find the speed signal from the ECU pinout, my car didn't come with a cruise controller so where will it be??

THanks in advance for all the advices coming!

safely you should already be adding fuel for your current mods and leaning out to tune it where it runs best without running lean, i wouldn't suggest boosting anything over stock atm until you get a way to add more fuel and a way to even get an idea of if it is running lean.

Get a bigger fuel pump, or you're going to own a pretty big door stop pretty soon...

As tempting as upping the boost with boost controllers can be, they are probably reason #1 for blowing these engines up...
